Recharge your “get s**t done” battery

December 2012 Book Review

In line with the likes of Poke the Box, Linchpin, Drive and others, Do the Work! Is a great short read and a good way to remind ourselves how we find the passion to help accomplish goals and achieve dreams.  Pressfield reminds us how to summon the courage to defeat resistance (most of the time, the resistance within ourselves) and accomplish things many said could never be done.
Here are a few of the better passages I came across:
“Rule of thumb: The more important a call or action is to our soul’s evolution, the more Resistance we will feel toward pursuing it.”
“We can always revise and revisit once we’ve acted.  But we can accomplish nothing until we act.”
“A crash means we’re at the threshold of learning something, which means we’re getting better, we’re acquiring the wisdom of our craft.”
“Resistance is the shadow cast by the innovative self’s sun.”
