Jurassic Park PowerPoint Parody

For the last few years I’ve had the opportunity to work directly with advertising research.  A lot can be learned and, more importantly, used to help advertisers improve ROI and consumers with decision making.  After years of reading on the subject, I’ve also learned this kind of research isn’t necessarily new to the media world.  Two advertising legends wrote books on this subject in 1923 and 1932.  Claude Hopkins (Scientific Advertising - 1923) and John Caples (Tested Advertising Methods - 1932) came to many of the same conclusions we see in data nearly a century later.  The same basic advertising principles still hold true to this day.  The biggest difference with research now is lower cost, quicker turnaround and greater flexibility.  As a tribute to these advertising giants and pioneers, I’ve created a short PowerPoint movie preview parody.  What’s old is apparently new.  Enjoy the slideshow.
